Approximately fifty percent of this collection consists of genealogical notes, charts, correspondence, and clippings resulting from research into the histories of the Ackerman, Bogardus, Bradley, Burr, Chardarayne, Creighton, Giles, Cropsey, Havens, Keeler, Montfort, Pryer, Roorbach, Stayner, Schuyler, Van Vechten, Ward, and Whiting families. The rest consists of miscellaneous original material, ca. 1797-1927, relating to the above families, including military documents, correspondence, invitations, notices, tickets, calling cards, legal documents, photographs, and miscellaneous other family ephemera. Of note is a photocopy of a letter by Benedict Arnold, n.d., and a notice, 1822, for the Circus on Broadway in New York City.
